Tulipomania

Track 5 from the album Havoc Monk Unseen.

Many people grow attached to that which gives them the most trouble
Like a mother doesn't love a healthy child as much as a sick one
The tulip increased in reputation and extravagant prices
'Till the man of fortune felt he had to maintain a collection
Extraordinary delusions - tulipomania
The madness of crowds - tulipomania
A sailor brought the news of a fresh consignment to a wealthy merchant
Then as a reward he looked around and helped himself to an onion
But it was a tulip bulb worth a fortune - they look kind of similar
So the sailor was thrown in prison - that meal was expensive

Hello Daniel, Just stopping by to see what's new. I do have a question for you. I noticed on your newest material, Havoc Monk, a very substantial change in the recordings. All of the new tracks are, uh, loud and far more brittle in the upper frequencies. They also sound a bit compressed. None of this is bad mind you, just noticeably different from past material. Are you using compression across the master buss more? Aural exciters? Or is it something all together different?

Hey, man. Just wanted to congratulate you for your work, both you songs and the covered ones. This one is my favorite. Nice lyrics, cool harmony tastefully arranged, perfectly played. Keep it up! See ya...

  8. Everyone rightly comments about your amazing guitar skills, but I am always impressed with your backing vocals which really add a lot of depth to your songs. Your vocals are very good indeed. Mark
